Admissions 2026/2027 Open
We support international students through every stage of studying in Ukraine — from your first enquiry and university application to your visa, arrival and residence permit.
109 universities across 19 cities. Each city page covers what it is like to live and study there; each university has its own profile.
Use the Apply Online form, along with your international passport and your highest educational certificate.
We review your documents and academic background to match you with a suitable university and course.
By email, phone, or WhatsApp, to confirm your application and request any additional documents if needed.
Along with guidance on the next steps, including visa support and accommodation.
If you are at the beginning of this, the useful thing to know is that studying in Ukraine is not one decision but six, and they happen in a fixed order. This page sets out that order and points you to the detail for each step.
You choose a university and a programme, the university issues you an official Invitation to Study, that invitation lets you apply for a Type D student visa, and after you arrive you register for a Temporary Residence Permit. Tuition is paid after your visa, not at application.
Ukrainian universities teach across the full range of fields. These are the areas we cover in detail, each with its own guide:
Medicine is by far the most common reason international students come to Ukraine, and it is also where the most misinformation exists โ our comparison of the medical universities in Ukraine explains what actually separates them.
The cities are listed above, with the number of universities in each. One thing worth adding: Ukraine is a large country and the situation is not uniform across it โ cities in the west are further from the fighting than those in the east.
We are an admissions consultancy, not a security authority. Read your own government’s current travel advice before you decide, and see our page on student safety in Ukraine.
The four steps above cover our side. This is the official route your application then follows, and the part students most often underestimate:
A university admitting you is not the same as it issuing an Invitation to Study, and neither guarantees a visa โ that decision belongs to the consulate. Each has its own requirements and its own timing, and confusing them is the most common reason a plan slips by a semester.
There is no single figure, because the money goes to several different places: university tuition, accommodation, a state system fee, consular and document costs, and our service fee. They are charged by different parties at different times.
Tuition is set individually by each university and varies by programme, by language of instruction and by year of study. Our fees page sets out indicative figures, explains who charges what and when each is paid, and cross-checks our numbers against the ranges the Ukrainian government’s own study portal publishes.
Tuition is paid after your visa is issued or on arrival โ not at application.
Ukrainian universities run a preparatory year for students who need the language before starting a degree. It ends in a state certificate, and what that certificate entitles you to differs between institutions โ our guide to the preparatory course in Ukraine sets out what we could verify from the Ministry of Education and Science’s own directory.
Recognition is not a property of a degree. It is a decision made by the licensing or recognition authority in the country where you intend to work โ not in Ukraine, not by the university, and not by us. Requirements change.
If you plan to enter a regulated profession, confirm the current position with your own authority, in writing, before you apply anywhere. Our guide to degree recognition explains who to ask and what to ask them.
Study in Ukraine Today is an admissions consultancy based in Ternopil, in the country these universities are in. That is not a detail โ it shapes what we can find out for you, and what we refuse to guess at.
We would rather tell you that a university does not publish something than invent it. Where our research could not verify a fee, a language of instruction or a programme list, our pages say so.
โStudy in Ukraine Today is the ultimate choice when it comes to student admission services. I was recommended to them 4 years ago and this year I am graduating with a Bachelor's degree in International Economics.โ
โI never knew much about Ukraine but I found Study in Ukraine Today through Google. They guided me through the whole process from Kenya until arrival.โ
โStudy in Ukraine Today is the best agency for students who want to study in Ukraine. Great team and they help with everything.โ
